Other work, duties and powers of the District Education Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) Formulating and implementing the educational program of the school in accordance with the approved educational plan,
(b) To maintain a healthy educational environment in the district and to implement educational programs through the management committee to improve the quality of education (c) To make necessary arrangements regarding the operation of non-formal education programs in accordance with the approved policies and instructions of the Government of Nepal (d) Providing financial assistance to the school and recommending such assistance to the relevant body,
(e) Making necessary programs for the welfare of teachers and students,
(f) To protect the property of the school and make necessary arrangements for the prosperity of the school,
(g) To organize seminars, conferences or exhibitions on education related issues at the district level (h) To support the educational program conducted for the development of the school,
(j) to take necessary action according to the report given by the auditor regarding the audit of the school,
(j) To try to make the school financially independent (k) to approve closure of schools,
(l) Giving instructions to the village education committee and the management committee to run the school by making an educational calendar (d) Collecting financial resources for the operation and development of district level sports, scout and cultural programs and spending the received funds.
